Set within the beautiful garden, Villa de Zoysa has a private yoga shala and specialises in yoga retreats and yoga holidays.  It is an open sided purpose built shala that lets nature's sounds of birds and the ocean wash over you. As the beach is also so close the class is sometimes conducted on the idyllic soft sand with background of the sun setting.

Treat yourself to Ayurveda treatments and massages at Villa de Zoysa. A highly regarded Aurveyda specialist is on hand for nourishing and pampering - simply schedule in your appointment with the villa owner, Devinda. Each treatment is designed for the individual and specially tailored to your needs.

Stay in a gracious and leafy Colonial house near Galle. The Villa has spacious rooms with traditional Sri Lankan decor touches that are understated, yet chic and homely. This villa is one of a kind! The beach is a 3 minute walk away and there is easy access to transport to surrounding sites and attractions.

The food at Villa de Zoysa is absolutely sumptuous. Many people consider this to be the real highlight of their stay. Each day food is brought in from local vendors that is fresh and seasonal. it is prepared with care and a flourish of culinary zest in the traditional villa kitchen. Everyone on the retreat sits around a long table and eats together, sharing in food as we do in yoga. Tropical vistas set the scene through the large windows, and the smells from the coconut curry and rotis lull you into blissful contentment.

Typically, Villa de Zpysa offers a 14-day program that comprises of 11 days of yoga with Sundays and Wednesday afternoons as free time. One day either side allows you to arrive and depart at leisure. The free Sunday allows you to have a well deserve break and explore what you might do in your free time. Whilst the set course is for two weeks, Devinda is very open to accommodating your travel plans and a shorter period of stay is also an option.

  • Morning yoga at 7:30 am for 1.5-2 hours

  • Breakfast at 10:00 am
